Established in 1985 by Director, Tracy Hawkes Dance For All has been run from the prestigious Theatre School in Stockbridge since 1999.
Tracy Hawkes is one of Scotland’s best known dance teachers who has performed and taught extensively in schools and companies here and abroad (Basic Space Dance Theatre, Napac Ballet and Durban City Ballet). She is a registered teacher and associate of RAD (Royal Academy of Dance) and the only SDS (Spanish Dance Society) qualified teacher in Scotland. Her great versatility and vast experience of the dance world is reflected in the immense variety of classes and courses held at the Main School in Stockbridge along with the Branch School in Newington.

Whether you want to brush up your previous expertise or learn a completely new form of dance from scratch, Dance For All has numerous options on offer from beginners to advanced level. All classes at Dance For All are a great way to exercise and provide a progressive learning experience, allowing you to hone your dancing skills while building a more flexible and supple body. Whether you are looking for expert tuition for yourself or your children or simply some ‘me’ time, Dance For All provides a truly exhilarating dance experience.
The intimate atmosphere at Dance For All compliments the school’s ethos of promoting enjoyment, achievement and excellence in all forms of dance.
Alongside the annual dance shows and Summer School for children, over seventy children’s and adult classes are taught every week by highly experienced and skilled teachers.
Since 2000 Tracy has also been directing the full time Professional Stage Dance Training Course in collaboration with Jewel & Esk College. It is the only full-time dance course in Scotland that offers an HND in dance alongside a complete professional dance and dance teacher training.
Dance for All offers all the support of a professional accredited school, equipping their students with the sound, reputable training that is essential for a career in the dance profession. During the three year course students are successfully trained to develop into versatile performers and teachers, gaining a thorough grounding in all the skills and techniques needed to pursue a long and varied career in dance. Previous students have progressed on to work in musicals, TV & film, at theme parks, on cruise ships and joined dance companies, touring the world. Many go on to teach both nationally and internationally and have even established their own dance schools.
