We are pleased to announce that esteemed Flamenco tutor Maria Bustos Calderon, a soloist with many of Spain's top Flamenco dance companies, has just joined Dance For All to teach our NEW Elementary Spanish course. This 8 week course will include "palos" (the different types of Flamenco rhythms and songs), "palmas" (hand clapping following the different kinds of Flamenco rhythm) and choreography. The course will run from 30.01.12 to 19.03.12, costing £64 / £56 concession. Download our Adult Class timetable & booking form or call us on 0131 226 5533. Graduate News...
Stacey Graham, graduated 2011 
Stacey has passed her RAD Advanced 2 Ballet with Merit. The Dance For All community are very proud of Stacey and Course Director, Tracy Hawkes, says the award is very well deserved. This follows on the back of Stacey achieving her ISTD Advanced 2 Modern with Distinction and ISTD Advanced 2 Tap with Merit. She is in the final stages of her ISTD DDE Teaching qualification, which we are sure she will ace with flying colours! Stacey also won DFA's Outstanding Student of the Year 2011 and we expect she has a blossoming career ahead of her.
Every year Dance For All offers a selection of very talented and unique Graduates to the professional dance industry. Our Graduates are extensively prepared to have successful and varied careers - and Year of 2011 is no different! Watch this space for more news...

Congratulations to Dance For All Graduates (2010) Emma Smith, Lauren Cunningham and Lisa Aytoun!
Emma has secured a position in the Robbie Williams Tribute Show on a Balearic Islands Cruise with Main Feature Productions and is one of only three singer/dancers in the production and her tour will last from May to September.
Lisa has just won a six month contract with Octopus Entertainment in Mumbai, India which includes performing in films, music videos, theatre shows and modelling in photo shoots.
At a highly competitive audition in London Lauren won a contract with the renowned COSTA CRUISE COMPANY - she is heading off to the the Med in just to start rehearsals as professional dancer/singer in shows performed on the world cruise.
Lauren will be joining Louise Ferrier who after many years performing with the company is currently dance captain with COSTA CRUISES!

DANCE FOR ALL, Scotland’s premier dance college, held their annual Spring Fling on Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd April. It featured an exuberant display of Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Street, Spanish and Contemporary from the talented 1st, 2nd and 3rd year full time Professional Stage Dance Course students. They were joined by DFA’s pupils from Grade Four upwards in what was an exciting and mesmerising show.

Open Day 2010 was a brilliant success, with many potential full-time students experiencing a fun packed day of classes, workshops, talks and demonstrations! Judging by the buzz at the end of the day they had an inspiring and informative day. We also had a special visit from a prize-winning photographer and freelance journalist who specialises in Dance industry articles… hush, hush! We’ll let you know when the feature is out!

NEW TEACHERS!
We'd like to warmly welcome new tutors Paul McLavin and Christina Gusthart to our staff faculty. Paul has worked with international chart-topping performers, in TV & theatre and is also Resident Choreographer and Artistic Director for MEP Production. Christina has trained under some of the most renowned names in Breakdance / Hip Hop and has worked in Bollywood, with David Guetta, Kelly Rowland & Kylie and the Breakin Convention Tour.

DANCE FOR ALL is an officially approved centre for teacher training, vocational and professional qualifications and all students are given the opportunity to gain both nationally and internationally recognised academic and teaching qualifications. Since founding the London Theatre Group in 1968, Steven Berkoff has created numerous adaptations for the stage as well as his original stage plays which have been performed internationally in many countries and languages. Berkoff’s adaptations include Metamorphosis and The Trial, Agamemnon after Aeschylus, and Poe’s The Fall of the House of Usher. He has directed and toured productions of Shakespeare’s Coriolanus – also playing the title role, Richard II, Hamlet and Macbeth, as well as Oscar Wilde’s Salome. Berkoff’s original plays include East, West, Messiah: Scenes from a Crucifixion, The Secret Love Life of Ophelia and Decadence in addition to his trilogy of solo shows: One Man, Shakespeare’s Villains and Requiem for Ground Zero which he has performed in venues all over the world. Not to limited his distinguished career to the stage, Berkoff has acted in a number of films, including A Clockwork Orange, Barry Lyndon, Octopussy Rambo, The Krays and Head in the Clouds and has written a variety of books, including production journals I am Hamlet and Meditations on Metamorphosis as well as autobiographical books Tough Acts, My Life in Food and most recently, published earlier this year, his book of poetry entitled “You Remind Me of Marilyn Monroe.”
