Dear DFA Family – Pupils, Students, Parents, Class Participants and Friends,

For the health, safety and well-being of our DFA families, staff and communities, we temporarily closed our studios on the 21st March 2020 until further notice.

We continue to carefully monitor the Coronavirus Covid-19 situation day by day and will respond to any further government directives appropriately and to protect our DFA family and the wider community. Please see the links below for more info.

💞 The health and well-being of our pupils, students, class participants, staff and their families is paramount in the Covid-19 crisis. We are now sharing online classes and content to help you maintain your physical and mental health during this period and we will stay in touch via email, our website and social media.

💌 Please check your emails regularly and before phoning us – we will email you first, then publish on our website before social media.

Please contact us via email ( danceforallstudio@gmail.com ) with any questions and you can either join our Mailing List or make sure we have your email address to stay informed.

We face challenging months ahead but we are sure that everyone in the DFA family, tutors, pupils, students, staff and all their families will remain positive and committed to returning stronger than ever once this crisis is over.

DFA School Pupils: see your inbox for links to class content

Studio classes will likely start back when the primary and high schools return. However, as mentioned above, we are offering online classes/activities in the interim (timetable). Please look out for updates from us regarding online material that can help you continue to practice and enjoy dancing at home.

Online Adult Ballet classes, Tuesdays, 6 – 7.30 pm, Zoom

DFA Principal, Tracy Hawkes is running live online adult ballet classes throughout the current crisis. Please join our Facebook group to participate.

Classes will take place on Tuesdays at 6-7.30pm on Zoom – Facebook recurring event for your diary. The class will consist of a warm-up followed by a comprehensive ballet barre, a stretch and then a short selection of centre work that can be performed within the restrictions of your own home environments. Donations through PayPal will be much appreciated.

Thank you! Keep smiling, dancing & distancing

As a small, local business, your support during this time means a lot to us.

We wish you the strength to weather this storm. We’ll get through this together. We also encourage everyone to remain indoors and keep safe! Thank you, and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

– The DFA Team x

Please do not attend Dance For All if you feel unwell or have any symptoms (new continuous cough and/or fever or high temperature), including mild symptoms – see links below.

Please continue to take all precautions, especially social distancing, self-isolating, shielding and handwashing (see images and links below).

Please be patient

As you can imagine we are receiving high numbers of phone calls and emails. We are a small business with a small team of dedicated staff. Please be patient as we liaise with our examination boards, cancel our upcoming shows, issue refunds, prepare online classes and coursework and work our way through this current crisis.

We will continue to email you with any new updates first, then post them on this page and finally, post on social media.

Please check your email before phoning us and, preferably, contact us by email. Thank you.

Notice to School Pupils

“On behalf of all Dance for All teachers, we would like to say how proud we are of the children and say THANK YOU for all their hard work towards our show. Although they are not able to perform them just now, we know they would have been amazing due to all of the hard work and effort. It’s been such a privilege for us teachers to work with them all and we know we would have put on a very professional entertaining show. We are really looking forward to being able to try again hopefully sometime soon.”

Notice to College Students

We are very proud of the way you’ve pulled together and worked so hard this week to be ready in time for your graded units. We understand how disappointing it is to have performances cancelled and how challenging these coming weeks and months will be but it has been heartwarming to see positivity and enthusiasm shine through in such difficult times.”

Notice to Adult Class Attendees

“Thank you so much for your ongoing support. We hope to release online classes to help you maintain your physical and mental health during this social distancing period. Please join our Mailing List or make sure we have your email address to stay informed. Don’t hesitate to contact us via email ( danceforallstudio@gmail.com ).”
