College Tutor Interviews:
New Studio Manager & email address
You may have heard that our Studio Manager, Jenny Lewis, is retiring… “Jenny has been our absolute rock over the past twenty years and it will be hard to adjust to being without her at the helm of DFA. However, I am very glad that she won’t disappear completely, as she will still come in on Saturdays to oversee all the children’s classes for the foreseeable future.” – Tracy Hawkes, Principal & Director.
Vassia Bouchagiar will be taking over Jenny’s position as Studio Manager in August. Vassia teaches Contemporary dance on our college course, has 15+ years experience as a teacher and choreographer. She also grew up in her parents’ dance studio and has run a dance school before. Vassia has been with DFA for three years and we’re thrilled to have her join us in this new capacity as Studio Manager.
Our new email address is: email@example.com
Please add it to your Contacts/Address Book – don’t worry, we’ll send a reminder over the holidays and in August. From July, any emails to Jenny will be forwarded to our new address. Please bear with us during this changeover – we will try to make it as seamless as possible.
August Term starts Wednesday 14th August. Have a wonderful summer break!
Celebrating Pupil & Student Success
Our weekly child & teen dance class pupils and our full-time dance college course students often achieve Merits and Distinctions in their exams, from pre-primary through the grades up to professional-level Intermediate and Advanced 2 qualifications in RAD Ballet, ISTD Tap, National & Modern and SDA Spanish dance.
And this summer our college students and weekly pupils all did exceptionally well. We gave them a wee “Congratulations” shout out on social media and wanted to repost here…
The group above are some of our weekly class pupils before their exams and, below, some Spanish Dance Association candidates (college students) before their Spanish dance exams and our 1st-year college students happily receiving their ISTD National results & certificates.
We’re SO proud of every single child and young person in our DFA community – we love nurturing their creative flair and unique personalities! And we’re always impressed by their hard work, passion and dedication too!
Celebrating Alumni Success
Our our blog, we’ve been celebrating our 2019 College Graduates, who you can see performing along with our 1st and 2nd year students in our showcase, It’s A Kind of Magic.
We can’t wait to see where they go in their next steps after college – watch this space!
We’re also regularly sharing our dance college graduates’ successes on social media too. We’re loving the #repost app as many of our graduates are on Instagram and share amazing videos and photos of their lives as professional dancers.
