NEW Senior Acrobatic Dance Class
Calling all teens aged 12–18 years who have some dance experience: want to take your skills to the next level?
Join DFA’s new Acrobatic dance class!
Happening every Saturday, Acro is a style of dance that combines classical dance technique with precision acrobatic elements. Because of the required strength training and stretching, this dance form is particularly athletic and involves great agility. What a great way to get proper training to develop balance, strength, endurance while enjoying the class in a fun environment.
Acro is a popular dance style in amateur competitive dance as well as in professional dance theatre and in contemporary circus productions.
We had no hesitations – we know DFA by reputation as being a well-respected and successful dance school.”
Our Acrobatic custom class is led by Samm Baigre. Samm teaches on both our college course and weekly classes, including RAD Ballet, Jazz and Contemporary.
The director Tracy Hawkes and her teaching staff seem to genuinely want to impart their love of dance and engage young people in a healthy and creative activity.” – Lindsay Law, mum of two DFA pupils

All pupils are given the opportunity to perform on stage in our dance productions – senior pupils from grade four upwards can perform each year in our Spring Fling and our junior pupils can perform in our biannual Easter shows.
Dance has been proven to give participants physical, cognitive and emotional health benefits. The balanced workout improves posture, stamina, agility, and flexibility; while exercising the mind through focus, coordination and motor skills development.
