Teacher Biographies Updated

We’ve just updated some of our teacher biographies!

Child & Teen Dance Classes, RAD Ballet, ISTD Tap, Jazz, Spanish Flamenco & Contemporary at Dance For All, EdinburghOriginally from the west coast, Irene Allison RAD Teaching Diploma, AISTD, ASDTA, was one of our first tutors. After touring in the USA she returned to Scotland to teach, choreograph and perform. Irene teaches throughout the Lothians and provides Higher Dance tuition, special needs teaching and specialist day training for the Scottish Dance Teachers Alliance. Here at DFA she teaches ISTD Tap and Jazz to our professional students and child & teen pupils.

 

Child & Teen Dance Classes, RAD Ballet, ISTD Tap, Jazz, Spanish Flamenco & Contemporary at Dance For All, EdinburghPeter Twyman CBTS RAD, BPA(Hons) trained in Dundee and Leeds and has worked with several international ballet companies including: the Royal Ballet, Dutch National Ballet, Frankfort Ballet and Scottish Ballet. He currently teaches on the RAD Boys Only! Weekend Workshop and choreographs displays for Kestrel Gymnastics Club. Here at DFA he teaches RAD Ballet & Body Conditioning to our professional students; RAD Ballet, ISTD Tap & Jazz to our child & teen pupils; and Tap, Jazz and Drop-In Ballet to our Adults.

 

Child & Teen Dance Classes, RAD Ballet, ISTD Tap, Jazz, Spanish Flamenco & Contemporary at Dance For All, EdinburghSamm Baigrie RAD RTS BA(Hons) has taught at DFA since 1998 and has been Head of Dance at Edinburgh’s Royal High School since 2001. She is a qualified SQA Assessor and SQA Internal Verifier, a Higher Dance Teacher and Safe Dance Practice tutor. She has tutored and choreographed for numerous community and charitable as well as productions such as Fame for BSkyB and We Will Rock You for the 2007 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. At DFA Samm teaches RAD Ballet, Jazz & Urban dance, Stage Make-Up, Anatomy and Physiology to our professional students; and RAD Ballet, Jazz & Contemporary to our child & teen pupils.

 

Professional Dance Training and Dance Teacher Training at Dance For All, Edinburgh.Jon Buglass is the Head of the Centre for Creative Industries at Edinburgh College. He is responsible for liaison between Edinburgh College and Dance for All at the Theatre School and he manages the NQ, HNC and HND in Professional Dance and advises on Edinburgh College’s facilities and policies. Jewel & Esk College merged with Telford and Stevenson on the 1st October 2012 to form the new Edinburgh College.
