On May 25, 2018 the European Union (EU) is scheduled implement the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (Regulation (UE) 2016/679). This regulation is intended to strengthen and unify data protection for all individuals within the EU and addresses the export of personal data outside the EU.
To comply with the new regulations we, (Dance For All), must inform you of the personal data we hold, why we hold it, who we share it with, where it is stored.

4. Who we share personal data with and what data is shared

A: Dance For All employees and teachers.

B: To enable an Identification Number to be issued, we must share the child’s/ren name and date of birth with the following Examination Boards:

  • ROYAL ACADEMY OF DANCE (RAD)
  • INSTITUTE OF TEACHERS OF DANCE (ISTD)
  • SPANISH DANCE SOCIETY

C: All data may be shared – College Students Only (college coursework, examinations and services):

  • Edinburgh College
  • SQA

D: The following Third Party services may access some or all data, depending on communication methods used by you and us, and services provided (in brackets):

  • Google (email messages; storage of photos, blank forms and marketing files only)
  • Jeda Pearl Creative (communications, marketing, photography and website management)
  • Backblaze (PC drive and file backup)
  • MailChimp (email newsletters, digital registration forms)

E: In addition, the following Third Party services may access some data (in pink), depending on communication methods used by you and us, and services provided (in brackets):

  • Vrazer (website security) – please also refer to our website privacy policy to the left.

2. Why we hold personal data

In order to use our services, we must hold and use your personal data. You can opt-in or opt-out. If you opt-out, regrettably, you may be unable to access some or all of our services, e.g. children’s exams, children performing in our shows – see more in our full Confidentiality & Data Protection Policy.

3. Where we store personal data

Systems are in place to secure your personal data. We store the above data on our office PC.
