Acro aka Acrobatic Dance Classes for Kids in Edinburgh

Calling all teens and pre-teens aged 7+ years who have some dance experience: want to take your skills to the next level?

Join DFA’s Acrobatic dance class!

Happening every Saturday, Acro is a style of dance that combines classical dance technique with precision acrobatic elements. Because of the required strength training and stretching, this dance form is particularly athletic and involves great agility. What a great way to get proper training to develop balance, strength, endurance while enjoying the class in a fun environment.

Acro is a popular dance style in amateur competitive dance as well as in professional dance theatre and in contemporary circus productions.

We had no hesitations – we know DFA by reputation as being a well-respected and successful dance school.”

Our children’s and teenager’s dance classes are held at our Edinburgh studios in Stockbridge. They run termly, Mondays through to Saturdays, with Easter performances and Summer Holiday Clubs.

All pupils are given the opportunity to perform on stage in our dance productions – senior pupils from grade four upwards can perform each year in our Spring Fling and our junior pupils can perform in our biannual Easter shows.
