Welcome to New Tutors
We’d like to welcome our newest tutors, Agathe Girad, Beth Manderson and Simon Hunter who join our inspirational Professional Course team.
Born in the South of France, Agathe Girad moved to Scotland in 2000. She trained at the Scottish School of Contemporary Dance in Dundee from 2008 – 2009 and has since been involved in numerous dance projects and residencies around the UK. Through her Head Over Heels Dance Theatre company, she has collaborated with Maite Delafin, Anna Gander, Ian Spink and our own Steinvor Palsson and premiered with two shows at the 2012 Edinbrugh Fringe: Adventures of the Little Prince in association with Asylon Theatre and Jacques Brel In Song And Dance. Dancing, performing, creating work and teaching are her passions.

Beth Manderson, originally from North Wales, gained her BA (Hons) in Musical Theatre degree from Arts Educational School London. Beth has toured the UK with lead roles in musicals Oklahoma and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and she has starred in musicals and pantomimes at several Welsh and English theatres, including: Aladdin, Cinderella and Robin Hood. Before embarking on her teaching career, she also toured Europe with a lead role in the musical Fame and has seen the world, performing aboard P&O Cruises.
Simon Hunter graduated from his training in Edinburgh in 2011 with the aim to focus on becoming a successful and established dance teacher. He works freelance for a number of dance schools in and around Edinburgh as well as running his own commercial dance classes through his own dance company Simon Says Dance. Simon is thoroughly enjoying his rewarding teaching career and when he’s not teaching he continues to perform as part of the all male dance troupe Risque at events across the UK.
